Objectives
educational: to give students information about crimes and criminals; to promote broadening of students general outlook
practical: to practice students reading, listening, writing and speaking skills;
developing: to develop students creative thinking, to develop students free expression of ideas;
language: to practice using Past Perfect Reported speech while speaking and making their own dialogues.
Equipment: the multimedia board, students book Solutions Pre-Intermediate(Oxford University Press)
Procedure
I. Introduction.
T. Dear students! There are a lot of problems facing people on the planet Earth nowadays. One of them is connected with crimes and criminals. We’ll speak about burglary, drug dealing, joyriding, murder, robbery, shoplifting, theft and vandalism.
Today we are going to develop your lexical, communicative and listening skills.                                                   
1)T. Look at the photos. Can you name the crimes?                                                                              II. Warming-up

1)Listening                     A Missing Handbag.
What was in the handbag?
a)Pre-listening activity
T. Well done. I quit agree with you. Lets play a game with the class. I have ten things in my bag and I want you to guess what they are.
(The things are all typical e.g.a pencil, a wallet, identification, keys, a book, a notebook, a pocket calendar, a packet of tissues).Each student can ask one yes/no question, for example: Do you have a pen in you bag? When everyone has had a turn, tell students the things they didn’t guess.
Students can do the same in pairs now. Each asks ten questions to find out what their partner keeps in their schoolbag. At the end students tell each other what else is there…
b)While-listenning activities
T. Let’s work on pronunciation of the most difficult t words e.g…
T. Now listen to the dialogue and try to understand it.
c)Post-listening activity
